Our Mission
The Mission of the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor is to prepare students for leadership, service, and faith-informed discernment in a global society. In conjunction with this mission, the Office of Student Organizations hopes to connect students to community service and volunteer opportunities during their college experience.
We believe that, as Christians, we are called to follow Jesus, which involves modeling our lives in a way that reflects His. In the Gospel of Mark, Jesus is seen as the Servant Savior, the Son of God who came to serve His people for the Glory of God. He left His Kingdom to come to a broken world that was in need of a servant to restore what had been lost. He was so deeply committed to it that He gave His own life for that calling. The calling He received – the call to serve – came from God, His Father. Jesus wished to love and honor His Father through carrying out His calling. In light of His sacrifice, drive, and calling, we choose to serve as we do.
