Selection Process Overview

The Basic Facts about the Housing Selection Process

Residents Can...

  • Sign up for one of the traditional residence halls during Round 1 if you are a Continuing Freshman.  Round 1 takes place on March 29th  in Shelton Theater, in the Mabee Student Center.
  • Sign up for one of the traditional residence halls during Round 2 if you are a Sophomore, Junior or Senior.  Round 2 takes place on March 29th  in Shelton Theater, in the Mabee Student Center.
  • Sign up for a campus apartment during Round 3 if you are a current residential student (all classifications).  Round 3 takes place on March 30th  in Shelton Theater in the Mabee Student Center.
  • Sign up for remaining spaces in the apartments and the traditional residence halls during Round 4.  (This Round is open to all classifications.  Please note:  Historically the apartments are full during Round 3.)  Round 4 takes place on April 6th in Shelton Theater in the Mabee Student Center.

If this is your first year living on campus, or even if you have participated in this process before, we want to make sure you are familiar with how it works and don’t miss out on participating at the appropriate time.   The Housing Selection Process Booklet will not be handed out, but is here in a pdf format so that you are able to print your own copy.    Please contact the Residence Life Office if you need a text only version.

 Students not living in the residence halls for Spring 2010 should inquire at the Residence Life Office (Mabee Student Center, suite 330 (254) 295-4590) for information on how to apply for housing.
