Belton Christian Youth Center (BCYC) Serving at Belton Christian Youth Center (BCYC) is one of the new ministry opportunities being offered this year. This ministry is geared towards loving and serving kids and youth at the BCYC building after school. You will enjoy being part of a community that invests and impacts the lives of these students through games, conversations and relationship building.
Children's Ministry We share the love of Christ with the kids at Montrose Apartments. As you build relationships with the kids by playing games, sharing bible stories, and enjoying a snack, you will be making a lasting impact on their lives.
Cru 4 Life Speaking for the unborn children who cannot speak for themselves.
Disciple Now Our vision is to raise up student leaders who are willing to mentor youth during Disciple Now events so that youth may grow in their relationship with Christ. Fill out an application and turn it into the BSM.
Drama Ministry Drama Ministries focuses on spreading the gospel through unconventional means. We use the arts: skits, dances, and human videos, as well as other visual and artistic elements. We perform in churches during the semester and normally include an on-campus performance as well. This ministry is a wonderful way to grow and touch people's hearts. Talented and untalented alike are welcome!
Freshmen Ministry Freshman Ministry focuses on the development and Spiritual growth of first year students here at UMHB. We open with a game, announce different opportunities to get involved on and off campus, and end with digging into the Word. Our hope for this ministry is that freshman will be better equipped as they go through their first year of college.
Global Christian Fellowship Global Christian Fellowship is mission-minded students who meet weekly for strategic prayer and mission awareness. They seek to cultivate prayerful hearts for the Nations. Each week they pray for a new country around the world. Join them as them pray, learn, and fellowship together!
Helping Hands Helping Hands is a ministry serving the Belton community. They are dedicated to helping those whose physical, practical, and spiritual needs need to be met. They organize the food pantry and set out clothes for those in need at a local food pantry. Consider spending time each week serving at this local ministry.
Hope for the Hungry This college ministry goes to two local low-income/government housing facilities. We play games, tell a Bible story and develop relationships with as many children as God places before us. We hope to share God’s love with those we serve.
Hospital Ministry Hospital Ministry's mission is to show God's love through prayer. They go every other week to Scott and White Hospital in Temple to pray and build relationships with many of the patients. If you are interested in connecting to people and hearing their stories then come volunteer with the Hospital Ministry team!
International Ministry This ministry aims to include internationals and ease the transition into the U.S., Texas, Belton, and UMHB. We help build relationships with students from around the world through events such as Texas Night and International Thanksgiving Dinner.
Men's Bible Study The Men's Bible Study is a time for men to grow spiritually. It is a place to hang out, build friendships, ask questions, and study the Bible together.
Missions We desire to see students mobilized to reach the nations. We promote awareness of missions AND mission opportunities. We also raise funds for students to serve through GO NOW Missions.
ONE ONE is an attempt to act out the truth of the trinity and gospel, of a unity in diversity at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. It is a worship gathering where we act out the unity of the gospel, of "one body and one Spirit, one hope, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all." (Ephesians 4:4-6)
Random Acts of Kindness This Ministry is centered on spreading the love of Christ in small yet kingdom acts of service. Centered on what Jesus says “for the son of God did not come to be served but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many.” So this ministry aims to serve in this exact way. Random Acts of Kindness meets only once a month to discuss ways in which they can engage the campus.
Senior Adult Ministry Senior Adult Ministry visits with the elderly at Belton's Park Place Manor. Their goal is to make friends with the residents in hopes they demonstrate Christ's love by being fully present with the residents.
Transfer Ministry This is a new ministry offered through the BSM, that is geared towards the life of transfer students. The vision of the Ministry is to offer transfer the opportunity to experience a new campus, build relationships, become active within the University, and encourage growth spiritually and in community.
Worship in the Quad Join the student-led worship experience as you sing under the stars.
