UMHB has everything you need to stay or become the fit and healthy person you want to be or ought to be! The Mayborn Campus Center is home to the Brentham Fitness Center, Mabee-Farris Recreation Gym, and Barbara Chaney Natatorium. During regular operating hours, you are welcome to lift weights, work out on the cardio equipment, or lap swim at your convenience. Cru-Fit Group Ex classes and the swimming pool have a set schedule. Check the control desk for specific times and days.

Cru-FIT Group Exercise Classes are free to all UMHB students, faculty, and staff. There is no registration required and you may join in anytime. A great way to see what Cru-FIT classes are coming up for any given day is to use the Rec It Fitness mobile app (cell phones only). Once you set up an account through IMLeagues you will be able to see all of the classes offered on any particular day.  If you actually register (not required) as part of a class, your app will automatically show it on your phone.

Typical classes are Cru-Crunch (abs), Cardio kickboxing or Turbo Kick, Pilates, Yoga, Spinning, Zumba, Aqua Calorie Burner, and Power Cut.

  • Personal Training sessions are sold as single sessions or as packages. Students might like our partner or buddy sessions where you and a friend workout with a trainer.
